Camping Lacona Pineta is in the south-eastern part of the island of Elba, about 8 km. from Portoferraio, the capital city. It is easy to reach the Island of Elba thanks to frequent ferry crossings, prices are reasonable, especially if you book well in advance.

The Gulf of Lacona, sandwiched between Cape Stella peninsula and the massif of Cape Fonza, is one of the most beautiful and evocative on the island.
Located on the southern side of the island, between Capes Stella and Fonza, Lacona is world famous for its long beach of fine sand (more than 1.2 km), one of the largest beaches on the island. It is a unique place because here we find one of the last dune environments on Elba, species of rare beauty grow here, e.g. the yellow poppy and the sea lily.
You get the feeling of freedom from this marine environment with its wonderful views out to sea which include the island of Monte Cristo.
The village, the tourist facilities and services are surrounded by greenery, creating an almost perfect symbiosis with the surrounding nature. Lacona is part of the territory of Capoliveri.
Due to its central location, it only takes 10 minutes, by car, to reach the main towns of Elba: Capoliveri, Porto Azzurro, Portoferraio, Marina di Campo.
