The famous Lacona beach, on the south coast of Elba, overlooking the island of Montecristo, is over 1 km long and surrounded by a magnificent bay, it is one of the most beautiful on the island of Elba. The magnificent sand dunes are a special feature of this long beach.
It is an ideal beach for those who love comfort or for families with children.
The beach is set in a Gulf of the same name and it is framed by two verdant peninsulas: Cape Stella and Cape Fonza. Further out to sea, the sand gives way to a rocky seabed and sea grass, an ideal place for scuba diving.
White sand beach 1,200 metres long with five entrances from the main road. It has bathing establishments with sun beds and sunshades, bars, restaurants. There is windsurf, sailing and motor boat hire and umbrellas and other beach equipment can also be rented. Supervised moorings for private boats.
A quiet sand and pebble beach 800 metres long, looking towards the town of Capoliveri . It can be reached along a small road at the eastern end of the Lacona coast road. It offers windsurfing, boat hire and an unsupervised boat mooring area.
250 metres of sand between beautiful cliffs. Access from the western end of the coastal road following the signs.
Pebble beach 300 metres long, it can be reached from the main road to Porto Azzurro following a footpath that starts at a viewpoint 2 km from Lacona.
Other beaches and coves can be reached from the sea by boat or on foot along footpaths.
